Your data stays on your device

hey monee stores all your financial data (transactions, budgets, goals) locally in your browser's storage. We do not transmit your financial data to any server.

What we collect

If you create an account in a future version, we may collect your name and email for account management. In the current version, no account is required and no personal data is sent to us.

PIN Protection

Your PIN is stored locally on your device and never transmitted. Sessions last 3 days — if you use the app regularly you won't need to re-enter it.

Data backup

You can export all your data as a JSON backup file at any time from Profile → Export Backup. Store this file somewhere safe (e.g. iCloud Drive, Google Drive) to restore your data if you switch devices or clear your browser.

Data deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from Profile → Delete All Data. This is irreversible.

Data safety

Because data lives on your device, clearing your browser storage will erase all records permanently. Use the Export Backup feature regularly to safeguard your data.

1. General Terms & Definitions

"heymonee.com", "we", "us", or "our" refers to heymonee.com (interim name pending incorporation), the operator of the hey monee application.

"hey monee" or "App" refers to the hey monee personal finance application, including the web app, progressive web app (PWA), and any related services.

"Services" refers to all features provided through hey monee, including expense tracking, income logging, budget management, and financial goal setting.

"User", "you", or "your" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the hey monee application.

"Content" refers to all data, text, and information you input into the App, including transactions, categories, budgets, and financial goals.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using hey monee, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use hey monee.

3. Personal Data & Privacy (PDPA)

We are committed to protecting your Personal Data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

Data you provide: hey monee stores your financial data locally on your device using browser localStorage. We do not transmit your financial data to our servers in the current version.

Data we collect: In the current version, hey monee requires no account and collects no personal data on our servers. Your nickname (if set) is stored locally on your device only. Future versions may introduce optional cloud sync, at which point a separate data collection notice will be provided.

Use of data: We use your data solely to provide and improve the Services. We do not sell your Personal Data to third parties.

Your rights: You have the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for use of your Personal Data. Contact us at hello@heymonee.com.

Data backup: You may export a full backup of your data at any time from Profile → Export Backup. You can restore this backup on any device via Profile → Import Backup.

Data deletion: You may delete all your data at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete All Data). This action is irreversible.

4. Description of Services

hey monee is a personal finance management application designed to help individuals track income, expenses, budgets, and financial goals.

The Services are provided on a freemium model: a free tier with core features, and a paid Subscription tier with premium features.

No Financial Advice: hey monee is a personal finance tracking tool only. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All financial decisions remain your sole responsibility. Consult a licensed financial adviser before making any investment decisions.

Financial projections and calculations (e.g. savings rate, goal estimates) are illustrative only and do not guarantee any financial outcome.

5. Pricing & Future Paid Features

hey monee is currently offered free of charge with all features included. No payment or subscription is required to use any current feature.

We may introduce optional paid features in a future version. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any existing free feature becomes paid. Pricing, billing terms, and refund policies will be published at that time.

If hey monee is distributed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, any purchases will be subject to that platform's payment terms and refund policies.

6. No Account Required / Future Accounts

The current version of hey monee requires no account registration. All data is stored locally on your device.

If a future version introduces optional account registration (e.g. for cloud sync), you will be required to provide accurate information and maintain the confidentiality of your credentials. We reserve the right to suspend access if you breach these Terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use hey monee only for lawful personal finance management purposes. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer the App, use automated tools to extract data, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in hey monee — including software, design, and branding — are owned by or licensed to heymonee.com. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your Content remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, heymonee.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including loss of data.

Our total liability shall not exceed the total Subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or SGD 100, whichever is greater.

10. Service "As Is"

hey monee is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any loss of data. As financial data is stored locally on your device, clearing your browser or app storage may result in permanent data loss. We strongly recommend using the Export Backup feature (Profile → Export Backup) to keep an up-to-date copy of your data.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute shall first be referred to mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to arbitration under SIAC rules, with the seat in Singapore.
